AWARD-WINNING rapper, Tinashe Gonzara popularly known as Ti Gonzi, has done it again!

The Mufakose-born artist last week launched a new album titled “Hip Hopu YekuGhetto Volume 2.”

According to a press statement that was released by Zvigaba.com, a company which handles Ti Gonzi’s publicity, the album seeks to highlight the rapper’s musical and personal journey that is full of pain, anger, grief and mental anguish.

The underrated hip hop artist was at one time mugged and left for dead and has had trouble with drug and alcohol addiction.

It also took a long time for Ti Gonzi to cope with the death of his mother in February last year.

The new album is an untold story of how Ti Gonzi overcame these setbacks.

A 20-track album, T Gonzi collaborated with Selma Mtukudzi and Oskid, among other established artists.

The recent release, according to Ti Gonzi, is a culmination of what has been happening to him during the past five years.

“This album is a culmination of all that I have gone through in the last five years. I made sure that l got back to the old Ti Gonzi and at the same time fusing EDM, Trade, and Afro pop.”

Zvigaba.com, describes T Gonzi as a “sly cat with nine lives,” with the album said to be a reflection of the artist’s musical and social journey.

“He has risen against all odds. The album is a dive into the dark corners of T Gonzi`s mind, his bipolar behaviour, troubled past and his hard road to sobriety.”

“He has lost it all over the years. His personal life and music career have been affected by his somewhat uncouth and vile persona.”

Ti Gonzi independently produced the album after he fired his management team and severing ties with the record label that he was working with.

The album is available on all digital music platforms and is being distributed by Zvigaba.com.
