NEW: Thieves make off with US$15 000 from parked car in Chinhoyi

POLICE in Chinhoyi are investing a daring theft from a parked car in the city’s central business district.

Unidentified suspects broke into a vehicle parked near the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development offices and made off with US$15 200 in cash.

In a statement, police said: “Police in Chinhoyi are investigating circumstances surrounding a case of theft from a car, which occurred on July 8, 2024 in Chinhoyi CBD, near Ministry of Mines and Mining Development offices.

“Unknown suspects broke into a parked vehicle and stole US$15 200 cash whilst the driver was concentrating on other issues.”
