THE Zimbabwe Institute of Strategic Thinking (ZIST) last week launched thematic committees and clusters from different sectors, which will generate ideas and solutions for problems facing the country.
In an interview, ZIST chief executive officer Dr Tinashe Muzamhindo said they launched the thematic committees and clusters to link Government and opinion leaders for collaboration.
“So, we have a number of priorities that we are doing, for now we launched what is called ZIST thematic committees and clusters pertaining to the problems that each and every sector is facing in Zimbabwe.
“Our main is to mobilise or assemble opinion leaders, so that we find a common ground on how to deal with each and every sector, looking at the problems and solutions,” Dr Muzamhindo said.
He said every cluster will mobilise ideas and submit them to Government, which will then incorporate them into the National Development Strategy 1 and 2.
“We also aim to build confidence amongst stakeholders on the National Development plan through strategic collaboration between Government and opinion leaders. We are Building relations amongst stakeholders and refine the Vision 2030 agenda,” he said.
ZIST was established in 2022, as a local think-tank responsible for strategy and solution-focused thinking to develop home grown solutions for the country.
