A 25-YEAR-OLD University of Zimbabwe student, who comes from a humble and extended Marange Apostolic sect family, is appealing for assistance to complete his Agricultural and Natural Resources Economics degree.

In a letter of appeal for assistance, Judah Chiruka of Mvurachena Village, Chief Marange, wrote: “I am a single young man from Ward 9 under Mutare Rural. I am a student at University of Zimbabwe, studying for Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Natural Resources Economics, and now in the First Semester of my Third Year (Industrial Attachment Year). I am failing to secure funding for my academic studies. I am from a humble and extended apostolic family. My academic life has been tough from primary education until today. The efforts to find scholarship providers have remained fruitless.

“I now have an accumulating tuition fees balance amounting to US$916 to be paid before Friday, October 6, 2023 which is the deadline for semester registration. I am, therefore, appealing for financial support from well-wishers be it on tuition fees, laptop, transport, food or accommodation. Any amount will be helpful to me and I will greatly appreciate.

“Those interested to help can contact me on: +263 71 816 2147 or +263 78 389 0497; or contact Mr Miriyoga on: +263 77 387 7948. Your positive consideration of this request will be most valuable.”
