NEW: Three killed, two injured in Harare-Masvingo Road accident

Three people have been killed, while two others were injured in a Harare-Masvingo Road traffic accident that occurred on Thursday when a UD truck collided with a Freightliner.

According to a statement issued by the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the fatal road traffic accident occurred at the 217km peg along Harare-Masvingo Road at 0600hrs.

“A UD truck with three passengers on board encroached on to the lane of a Freightliner truck with three passengers on board resulting in a head-on collision.

The bodies of the victims were taken to Mvuma District Hospital for post-mortem, whilst the injured were admitted at the same hospital.”
