ZIMBABWE has made a significant move in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking after jumping seven places to 117th in the world.

The Warriors were rewarded for their back-to-back victories over Namibia in the recent Africa Cup of Nations 2025 qualifiers.

The wins earned them 27.49 percentage points as they continued with their upward journey back to the top 100.

They rose five places last month after playing draws against Kenya and Cameroon in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

In Africa, the Warriors are now ranked 31st.

Morocco remained the number one nation in Africa, followed by Senegal, Egypt, Nigeria and Algeria in the top five.

Argentina are still the top ranked nation in the global charts, but their lead over second-placed France and Spain (third) has been cut.

England (4th), Brazil (5th) and Belgium (6th) have all held on to their positions.

Portugal (7th, up 1) and Italy (9th, up 1) are the only climbers within the top ten, which is completed by the Netherlands (8th, down 1) and Colombia (10th, down 1), with Germany (11th, up 2) now knocking on the door.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published after the next FIFA international break on November 28.
