THE Zimbabwe senior men’s football team has dropped seven places down the ladder in the latest rankings released by FIFA.

The Warriors are now ranked 129th in the world, in the wake of the defeats to Lesotho and South Africa in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers played this month.

They also lost considerable ground on the continental rankings as they are now placed 38th in Africa.

Morocco are still the highest-ranked nation on the continent. They rose one place to 12th in the global rankings.

Argentina maintained the number one ranking in world football in an unchanged top three that also features France and Belgium in second and third places respectively.
