The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) is participating at the third session of the Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission in Victoria Falls in a bid to forge regional partnerships to combat cross-border corruption.
The summit, which was in its third day on Wednesday, is running under the theme ‘Consolidating and deepening socio-economic-political defence and security ties’.
Posting on Twitter on Tuesday, ZACC said trans-boundary corruption can only be fully tackled through forging regional partnerships.
“ZACC is participating at the Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission in Victoria Falls,” reads the tweet.
“Regional cooperation is an important tool in fighting trans-boundary corruption.”
Through regional cooperation, ZACC is in the process of recovering money and assets that were externalised during the First Republic.
