NEW: ZC names squads to face English county sides

Zimbabwe Cricket have named the two squads that will face visiting English county sides Durham and Glamorgan.

The tour is expected to begin on Saturday at Harare Sports Club and Old Hararians Sports Club.

The two English county sides will play Zimbabwe’s select sides – Southerns and Northerns – in a three-day match, T20 games and four 50-over games.

On Saturday, Southerns play Durham at Harare Sports Club, while the Northerns host Glamorgan at Old Hararians Sports Club.

The three-day matches will be followed by six T20 matches set for March 8, 9 and 10 at Harare Sports Club, with the longer version of the white-ball cricket scheduled for March 12 and 14.

Stuart Matsikenyeri has been put in charge of the Northerns team, with Eric Chauluka (assistant coach), Steve Kirby (bowling coach), Mufaro Chiturumani (analyst/manager) and Amato Machikicho (physiotherapist) completing the team’s technical set-up.

Southerns will have Walter Chawaguta as their head coach, and he will be working with Douglas Hondo (assistant coach), Njabulo Ncube (bowling coach/manager), Keith Kulinga (analyst) and Travor Wambe (physiotherapist).
