THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has said it will continue to monitor the fuel prices on the market and provide regular updates.

This comes in the wake of the recent frequent increases in petroleum products which Government has said is a result of international developments which Zimbabwe has no control over.

In a statement released today, ZERA said: “The fuel prices continued to increase during the past week. Pump prices were supposed to increase but after consultations with the Government and industry, it was agreed to maintain the current prices while monitoring market developments.”

ZERA said the blending ratio remains at E0.

Adds the statement: “Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations.”
