NEW: ZETDC warns of power outages

Parts of Harare will go without electricity tomorrow after the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has warned of a power interruption for the purpose of carrying out critical maintenance.

The places affected are Queensdale, Craneborne Boys high school, 1 Commando, Craneborne West and Laing Crescent.

In addition, Ballntyne Park, Colne Valley, Chisipite, Grange, Kambanji and the surrounding areas will also be affected.

Parts of Greengrove, David Road, St Malo Road, Wilson Road, Cavan Iane, Chalkmead Road, parts of Silverton, George Avenue, Harrow Road and Mutare Road, Letombo pumps, ZIMDEF Management, CI Distributors, Doon Estate, IMCO and Fort Concrete Msasa.

Said the power company in a statement:

“ZETDC would like to advise its valued customers in Harare Region that there will be a power supply interruption purpose of carrying out critical maintenance.”

“This power interruption will take place on August 4 from 0600 to 1800 hours.”
