POPULAR actress Patricia Putsai won the 2022 Emerging Female Actor of the Year Award at the Ladies in Media Awards (Lima) held in Ghana on Saturday.
The awards mainly honour female media personalities in five African countries – Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Putsai is known for her roles in skits with Nigel Tha Slick Pastor, Gamuchirai Duve and Comic Pastor.
She started off her career when she secured a role in popular television show “Tunga” while she was still at Midlands State University.
Putsai later joined Comic Pastor and Nigel Tha Slick Pastor.
Comedienne Madam Boss scooped the Most Influential Woman of the Year Award.
“I am super-excited to win an award, especially as we celebrate Women’s Month,” said Madam Boss.
“Thank you so much to Ladies in Media for giving me the opportunity; Zimbabwe and Africa thank you for supporting me.
“I did not know I was an influencer in Africa. Ladies, it is time to empower ourselves.”
