Zimbabwe and Mozambique will on Wednesday convene their first Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation (JPCC) meeting in over eight years.
Earlier in June, the leaders of the two countries – Presidents Mnangagwa and Filipe Nyusi – agreed to reconvene the bilateral platform.
In a statement, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade spokesperson, Mrs Constance Chemwayi, said the 12th instalment of the JPCC will run for three days in Harare.
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Frederick Shava will lead Zimbabwe’s delegation, while the delegation from Mozambique will be led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Honourable Veronica Macamo,” said Mrs Chemwayi.
She said the meeting’s agenda includes discussions on trade and investment, agriculture, transport, energy, environment and tourism, education, science and technology, mining and information.
“A Memorandum of Understanding on Labour and Employment will be signed during the session,” she added.
