IT IS important for Zimbabwe to be up-to-date with payment of subscriptions to international organisations, as this allows the country to participate in international groupings, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Permanent Secretary Ambassador James Manzou has said.

Appearing before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade for the 2023 Post-Budget Review discussion on Wednesday, Ambassador Manzou said Zimbabwe’s presence in international groupings is important to its engagement and re-engagement drive.

“Currently, Zimbabwe is up-to-date with its contributions, and this is good for the perception and image of the country.

“It is the ministry’s sincere hope that the Committee will continue lobbying for adequate budget support of its operations,” he said.
