ZIMBABWE and China will continue to grow their cultural and economic ties, China’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Zhou Ding has said.

He said this during the Chinese Lunar Year celebrations in Harare on Thursday evening.

Both China and Zimbabwe, he added, attach great importance to traditions and cultural heritage.

“Cultural exchanges and mutual learning have always been an important part of the broad China-Zimbabwe relations.

“2023 is a year of bumper harvest for our comprehensive strategic partnership,” said Ambassador Zhou.

He commended the strong relations between Zimbabwe and China.

“We are proud to have witnessed the completion and commissioning of some magnificent projects under Chinese government financial support, or invested by China’s private sector, which have helped inject new momentum into Zimbabwe’s social-economic progress.

“Walking side by side, our two countries are also jointly committed to the noble cause of building an equal and orderly multi-polar world and a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalisation.”
