Zimbabwe’s Embassy in the Democratic Republic of Congo has mobilised fans in the Central African country ahead of the crunch tie between AS Maniema and Ngezi Platinum Stars at Martyrs Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

A win for the platinum miners will see them progress to the next round of the tournament.

As part of rallying support for the Zimbabwe representatives, the embassy held a dinner on Saturday evening.

“We are happy to be hosting the Zimbabwe representatives in Champions League.

“As part of making them feel at home, we have mobilised Zimbabweans in DRC to come and rally behind our team,” said Zimbabwe Embassy Chargè de Affairs Tangisayi Tapera.
