AGRICULTURAL inputs firm, Zimplow has launched a new division – Valmec – as part of its portfolio diversification strategy.

Valmec is a one-stop shop housing merchandise brands including Valtra, Mosh, Sparex, and Farmer Ziraat.

Zimplow said the Valmec division is targeted at supporting entry-level or emerging commercial farmers, who had not been covered by Zimplow in the past.

Said Zimplow group chief executive officer Mr Vimbayi Nyakudya:

“Valmec was then strategically established with the primary objective of propelling the growth trajectory of the Valtra brand.

“Our unwavering commitment lies in equipping farmers with accessible and cost-effective aftersales support, seamlessly facilitated through our Sparex franchise.”

In terms of performance in the half-year period to June 2023, Zimplow recorded a 77 percent growth in revenue to $52 billion, attributable mainly to notable growth in farming implement sales, while profit remained flat compared to the prior year.
