NEW: ZimTrade eyes Saudi Arabia market

Online Reporter

ZimTrade, the country’s trade promotion body, plans to intensify initiatives to grow Zimbabwe’s exports to Saudi Arabia in line with the National Trade Policy (2019-2023), which is premised on growing shipments through product and market diversification.

ZimTrade will accordingly be conducting a market survey in Saudi Arabia between February 27 and March 3, 2023 to understand the market and identify opportunities.

“The focus on Saudi Arabia complements Government’s economic diplomacy agenda, which is unlocking value from Zimbabwe’s political relations with the rest of the world,” said ZimTrade’s chief executive officer Mr Allan Majuru.

“Zimbabwe already enjoys favourable political relations with Saudi Arabia, and we want to establish avenues that will make it easy for local companies to leverage the relations, as they increase exports into the country.”
