THE Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) believes that the World Travel Market fair (WTM), which kicks off in Cape Town, South Africa, on Wednesday, is an opportunity to meet potential investors and continue to market local tourism products.

ZTA chief executive officer Ms Winnie Muchanyuka told The Sunday Mail Online that they will use the platform to “fight for our space and attention”.

“We are on a drive to attract investors into the country in order to bring investment into the tourism industry,” she said.

“Not only do we want to entice tourism investors but we also intend to position Zimbabwe as a business destination under the Meetings Incentives Conferences and Exhibition (MICE) banner.

“We are therefore taking every opportunity available to fight for our space and attention.”

WTM attracts quality buyers and investors from all over the world.
