Newborn baby dumped in Epworth

A NEWLY-BORN baby was found wrapped in a sack under a bridge in Epworth on Saturday.

Police have appealed for information that may help them apprehend the culprit.

They have also expressed concern over the rise in cases of baby dumping, and warned such behaviour.

Men have also been asked to play a part in their children’s lives to help prevent cases of baby dumping.

“Police in Harare are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of baby dumping in which a newly-born baby boy was found wrapped in a sack under Mafuta Bridge along Chiremba Road, Epworth on August 19.

“Anyone with information should report at their nearest police station,” police said in a statement.
