CHIEF CHARUMBIRA HOSTS CHURCH, TRADITIONAL LEADERS

Arron Nyamayaro

CHIEF Fortune Charumbira hosted church and traditional leaders at his homestead in Masvingo on Sunday.

The Pan-African Parliament president emphasised the importance of traditional and church leaders working together to uphold community moral values.

He hailed church leaders for skipping their traditional Sunday services to conduct prayers in his traditional court.

“The relationship between traditional and church leaders is like fish and water,” said Chief Charumbira.

“We have the same mandate of building families, upholding community moral values, fighting crime, comforting the society, settling disputes, giving honour to the Almighty God and developing the nation, among other roles.
