Newly-born baby found dead

A NEWLY-BORN baby was found dead in Rusape’s Vengere suburb on Monday.

The body of the baby boy, which was wrapped in a plastic bag, was found by a six-year-old boy at a dumpsite.

The boy, who was looking for tins at the dumpsite, quickly alerted Nyarai Nyengera (59) who made a police report.

 

Police attended the scene.

Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Norbert Muzondo confirmed the incident, saying the unknown suspect was still at large.

He appealed to members of the public with information leading to the arrest of the suspect to contact their nearest police station.
