NEYMAR hit back at fans on social media after being booed off again over the weekend.
The Brazilian icon, 34, has endured a nightmare return to boyhood club Santos.
Following Saturday night’s 3-2 defeat to Fluminense, fans jeered their former hero.
As he walked off the pitch to loud boos, Neymar put his fingers in his ears. Supporters saw this as a pointed gesture, but the forward denied he was doing it to drown out the noise. Posting the video to X, Neymar wrote: “The day has arrived when I have to explain an EAR SCRATCH!
“Folks, honestly, you’re going way too hard and crossing the line… it’s just too sad to have to put up with this! “No human being can take it.”
Struggling Santos are 15th in the league table.
The Sao Paulo side have also flopped in the Conmebol Sudamericana, South America’s equivalent of the Europa League. Following a 1-1 draw with Paraguayan side Recoleta last week, Neymar lost it and was involved in an argument with a Santos fan.
In footage captured by ESPN, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain superstar pointed to the Santos badge. Then moments later he pointed to a supporter and said: “You should train more. You’re a fat b*****d.”
Having scored Santos’ goal on the night, Neymar added: “Do I have to do everything myself? Shut your f***ing mouth, please!”
Speaking in the mixed zone after the game, he said: “I’m upset about everything, about what I’ve heard from some fans.
“It wasn’t about my performance, it was about me personally, about what the media posts, about the things that come out in the media.”
Having not featured for his country since 2023, Neymar has been aiming to secure a Selecao recall ahead of the World Cup.
But the 128-cap star is running out of time to impress boss Carlo Ancelotti . — Sun
