Ngodzo, dube suspension lifted

“The case for the two players, Ngodzo and Dube, is now over and they are back in the team,” said a source.
“If you do not see them in the team it will be the discretion of the coach but we have cleared them to play.”
FC Platinum coach, Tendai Chikuni, could not be drawn into commenting about the possible inclusion of the two players in his squad this weekend.
“My team has been playing very well away despite the home losses,” said Chikuni.
“I will consult with my colleagues to finalise the final 18 that will travel to our last game in the capital.
“I am going to have a cautious approach although my major worry is consistency.
“We are winning away but flopping at home and the tie on Saturday is one in which we would like to do our best.
“We just need to remain focused if we are to get the desired results.”
When Motor Action defeated FC Platinum 4-2 at Callies last year, it resulted in the then coach, Philani Mabhena, being re-assigned to a role with the juniors.
Patrick Mandizha was then ushered into the hot seat on a caretaker basis after fans had bayed for Mabhena’s blood.
Mabhena remains with the club’s Under-19 team, which has been producing a number of players for the first team, where he is working with John Phiri.
This year, FC Platinum beat the Mighty Bulls 2-0 at Mandava.
Chikuni was thrust into the hot seat after the miners severed ties with Rahman Gumbo and is eying a top four finish.
FC Platinum are yet to play Shabanie (away), Highlanders (away), Chicken Inn (home), Hwange (home) and Black Mambas (home).
Charles Sibanda and Allen Gahadzikwa will be back at Callies to reunite with their former teammates.
