TRIANGLE captain, Donald Ngoma, believes the reverse fixtures will present them with a tough examination of their character.
The Sugar Sugar Boys were impressive in the first round of the Castle Lager Premiership as they inflicted many upsets, despite a technical and players overhaul, two weeks before the start of the season.
They went on to complete the first round fixtures by recording just one loss at their fortress, Gibbo.
Ngoma, was leading from the front, like a true leader, as he was taking matters into his hands by scoring when it mattered. He is enjoying a resurgent form with six goals to his name.
“The second round is always more difficult as you know the game begins to be tougher, but we are ready to finish in a respectable position.
“We were very privileged to get a break and it also helped us to regroup and work on our shortcomings,” said Ngoma.
Bulawayo Chiefs are unbeaten in the past five fixtures. They are now matching what was expected of them at the start of the season when they acquired the league’s veteran players.
Ngoma attributed hardwork and team effort to their flying first round.
“Our secret has been hardwork and discipline, everyone is putting in 100 percent effort,” he said.
“Everything has been about team effort and the way we push each other has been tremendous, it has even given me the energy to do more.
“We are playing an organised team with experienced players as well but we are ready to give them (Chiefs) our best shot.”
The club’s coach, Jairos Tapera, confirmed to H-Metro they have a clean bill of health. The two sides are separated by just three points.
Triangle are sitting fifth on the standings, with 28 points, and their opponents are in eighth place.
