NGOs welcome

Cross Head of Regional Delegation Mr Pascal Cuttat, who paid a courtesy call on him yesterday, Cde Khaya Moyo said Zimbabwe had benefited a lot from the aid organisation.
“You have been very effective in lessening the pain in communities around the world and sometimes you do it at your own risk,” Cde Khaya Moyo said.
“Red Cross has always been there to assist all the countries in the world and we will remain grateful for what you have done since the liberation struggle.”
Cde Khaya Moyo hailed Red Cross’s support to the Zimbabwe Prison Service and Harare City Council polyclinics.
Government on its own, Cde Khaya Moyo said, would not have been able to provide for inmates and patients during disease outbreaks.
Mr Cuttat said his organisation had deliberately chosen not to meddle in the country’s internal politics.
