Ngundu woman arrested with 277 sachets of mbanje in police drug bust

Police in Ngundu have arrested a 22-year-old woman after she was found in possession of 277 satchets of mbanje.

Caroline Jikita was arrested at her homestead following a tip-off. She has since appeared in court and was remanded in custody.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest.

“On September 22, 2025, police in Ngundu acted on received information and arrested Caroline Jikita aged 22, at Munangari Village, Chivi, in connection with unlawful dealing in dagga,” he said.

“The arrest led to the recovery of 277 sachets of dagga which were stashed in a hole dug in the yard.”

Comm Nyathi warned that the crackdown against drug dealers and peddlers is continuing until there is sanity countrywide.
