SUNGURA musician, Mark Ngwazi, has collaborated with Mukoma Panga and Chipoko Cha Sauro on a single titled Tadiwanashe.
The song is his first project after he bagged the best sungura award at the Zimbabwe Music Awards on June 3.
He said the song is meant to communicate with youths about not giving up despite the challenges they could be facing.
“Working with musicians, who sing a different genre, was not a challenge because, as an artist, we should know how to work on anything.
“I only chose sungura because of my own personal reasons, but I can definitely work on anything.
“You gain experience by working with different artists.
“I am sure that our fans want us to collaborate and they will support us that way.
“I do not know when I will release the next album, but we have already worked on some of the tracks.”
He added:
“As I have already said, ‘dzimwe nzendo taurai madzoka,’ I do not want to give my fans false hope.”
Mukoma Panga said he was also willing to learn from others.
“We always learn from each other and Ngwazi is no doubt a star in the making.
“As for Chipoko ChaSauro, he is a genius in the making.
“I have always enjoyed collaborating with others since I released my debut album Mbuva YeHwiza in 2019, which had the hit song, Panganayi.”
