In celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day, the National Gallery of Zimbabwe (NGZ) in Bulawayo is hosting the Vital Voices: Give to Gain exhibition. The event provides a platform to highlight the influence of female voices and creativity in the arts and culture space.
The exhibition will feature a diverse range of artworks, including drawings, paintings, ceramics, video art, installations, and mixed media, all reflecting how women share their time, resources, and life experiences to positively impact society.
The exhibition will open on March 5, with artists showcasing their work during the evening, including Dhrasti Naik, Florah Maphosa, Reneiloe Tshuma, Nonhlanhla Mathe, Zandile Masuku, Alison Baker, Mira Tezuka, Annette Masaire, Siqobile Dube, Soneni Nyathi, Gloria Hoffman, Nomvuyiso Mpofu, Nubar Rafiyeva, Ruvimbo Muloonda, Tadiwanashe Shana, Nomuhlekazi Dube, Abigail Hunda, Maginess Ndlovu, and Maves Ndlovu, among others, in line with this year’s theme of investing in others. The pieces will then be on display for the following three months.
“The gallery invites all art enthusiasts, collectors, hobbyists, and anyone passionate about women’s empowerment and emancipation through art to experience this inspiring showcase,” the NGZ said in a statement.
