SHURUGWI-based Premiership outfit Nichrut are looking at nothing short of maximum points when they take on Bulawayo Chiefs in a Castle Lager premiership encounter at Ascot Stadium this afternoon.
Nichrut, who are slowly making Ascot Stadium their fortress, will be hoping to claim the scalp of Bulawayo Chiefs who also have had a decent start to the season and are one place behind their adversaries this afternoon.
Mushonga unouraya ipapo ipapo gaffer John Nyikadzino, although cognisant of the threat posed by Chiefs, is confident of collecting maximum points.
“It is going to be a tough game where you have both sides who are new in the Premiership and have been doing well. If you look at Bulawayo Chiefs, they are a good side and being able to beat FC Platinum says a lot about their pedigree,” said Nyikadzino.
“However, we also have been doing well for ourselves especially after we were touted as one of the relegation candidates. We are playing at home and therefore, we are looking at nothing short of three points,” he added.
Nichrut come into this match on the back of a 0–1 loss at the hands of Harare City last weekend and a win today will ensure that their stay in the Premiership is not threatened.
On the other hand, Bulawayo Chiefs are yet to taste a win in their last four outings since beating FC Platinum two months ago.
Chiefs are desperate for a result to put their campaign back on track having lost their last two fixtures to Dynamos (0-1) last weekend and Triangle a fortnight ago who beat them 0 – 2. — @lavuzigara1
