The 31-year-old made sure she stole the show wearing a sheer silver top beneath which her breasts could be seen . . . protecting her modesty with star-shaped pasties.
Things got even more heated when she jumped into Drake’s arms during her performance on stage wrapping her legs around his hips as he gripped her waist with one arm.
The sight didn’t go down particularly well with Rihanna, who remained stoney faced as she watched the display unfold.
Rihanna and Drake are currently broken up, having endured a roller-coaster ride of a relationship dating back to 2009.
Drake, 27, and Rihanna first dated in 2009 shortly after Rihanna was the victim of a domestic violence assault involving her former boyfriend Chris Brown. The two rekindled their romance in the last few months – first spotted together in Paris in February – but were reported to have broken up in mid-May.
Nicki, 31, Instagrammed an image of her pose with the rapper, writing: ‘‘Yall gotta chill. Lol this my brother.’’
In contradiction to such a statement, she told Vice magazine in a recent interview when asked about her ideal man: ‘‘One day I will run away with Drake and get married, but right now it’s just a fantasy.’’
And then ironically when asked about her ideal woman, Nicki responded: ‘‘Rihanna. She fondled me at the MTV Awards and the America Music Awards. I love her. She’s the best fondler ever.’’
The Starships hitmaker, known for her wild ensembles, showed off her silver pasties in a see-through silver crop top.
She highlighted her ample derrière in high-waisted leggings featuring a black and white three-dimensional cubist print. Nicki sported strappy black and red heels and glammed it up with plenty of bold edgy bracelets.
‘‘The Beauty And The Beat’’ hitmaker wore her black hair long, sleek, and straight with a centre part and minimal make-up. She showed off the tattoos on her arm, with each of her nails painted differently.
Nicki performed at the hip hop and R&B festival along with the likes of Lil Wayne, Drake, 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, Trey Songz, The Roots, Iggy Azalea, and Snoop Dogg, amongst numerous others.
She took to the stage at about 10:30 p.m. EST and kicked off her performance with ‘‘Lookin’ A**’’
She had this snap-back hat on that said “Minaj.” She used to wear that every single day. She was like a theatre student and she was so cold at rapping.’’
He added: ‘‘I’ve always really, actually, really had a crush on her, always really loved her, and she’s always just looked at me as, like, her little brother.’’
‘‘Drake does not have a crush on me,’’ Nicki said in a subsequent interview with MTV. ‘‘Drake knows how to get you guys’ attention.’’ — Daily Mail.
