Nigerian president to meet Huawei, ZTE bosses

and Publicity Reuben Abati, confirmed ahead of the visit Jonathan would meet executives of leading Chinese Conglomerate Huawei and ZTE.

The two firms have significant market share in Nigeria’s smartphone and wireless markets.
“The president will leave Abuja next Monday for a five-day state visit to China and he is expected to hold separate meetings with the chairmen and chief executive officers of Huawei and ZTE,” stated Abati from Abuja.

Apart from the two meetings, the president will also participate in a special session of the Nigeria/China Investment Forum, which will be attended by leading Chinese investors and their Nigerian counterparts.

At the end of the visit, it is expected that new bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding will be concluded and signed to guide and sustain future Nigeria and China relations.

Jonathan is also expected to meet President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang and the chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Zhang Dejiang.
Talks will focus on greater bilateral cooperation in areas of public infrastructure development, oil and gas, power supply, agriculture, communication and tourism. – CAJ News.
