adminA source, who requested anonymity, told Nigeriafilms.com that Mike Adenuga, the boss of the telecoms giant was not happy with some Nollywood stars who were on his payroll but have not been “active”.
“Oga is not happy with some Nollywood stars who rake millions of naira yet they don’t bring value to the Glo brand,” the source said.
According to Nigeriafilms, Nollywood stars might be affected include Monalisa Chinda and Desmond Elliot. “It was also learnt that Glo has not informed them about the development,” Nigeriafilms said.
The source said the number of those to be dropped are close to five but only Monalisa and Desmond were at the top of the list. The new names that are set to repalce old faces include musician Lagbaja while the rest will be unveiled in few days in Lagos.
Previously, Glo dropped Kate Henshaw and Jim Iyke as its brand ambassadors few years ago when it signed Odunlade Adekola and Kunle Afolayan as ambassadors. — Nigeriafilms.
