After hosting a successful event in Miami last year, multi-award-winning Afro-house DJ Nitefreak is set to take his HiNDE movement back to the United States, with a show scheduled for September 19.
The much-anticipated event will be held at 99 Scott. Taking to social media, Nitefreak shared the news with fans, who responded with excitement.
“We started HiNDE right after Covid-19 in a friend’s backyard. Five years later, we are heading to America for the second time. I am deeply humbled to have GRAY AREA support my dream,” he said.
HiNDE is an Afro-house movement and event series founded in 2021 by Nitefreak. Originally named after his hit collaboration with Idd Aziz, the platform has grown from an intimate gathering into a global stage for Afro-progressive sounds. It now operates as both a label and a performance platform aimed at bridging gaps within the house music scene.
To expand the movement locally, Nitefreak regularly hosts “double-header” weekends in Harare and Bulawayo, showcasing emerging talent while headlining the shows.
So far this year, HiNDE has been staged at The Residence on April 11, where a sold-out crowd enjoyed performances from Lynnic and Itsarius.
Anticipation is already building for the Brooklyn edition, with a strong turnout expected.
