ZIFA Southern Region log leaders Nkayi United dropped valuable points on Saturday after being held to a shock 0-0 draw by debutants Blackrock at White City Stadium.

The result chopped Nkayi’s lead to just a single point, with second-placed Bulawayo Chiefs breathing down their necks after edging Zebra Revolution 1-0 across town at Chiefs Village.

Hwange kept their title hopes alive with a ruthless 4-0 demolition of Mainline at the Colliery, cutting the gap at the top to six points.

Bulawayo Warriors, still a serious threat under coach Roger Ndlovu, stayed fourth after a 1-1 draw with Victoria Falls Herentals.
