Hwange kept their title hopes alive with a ruthless 4-0 demolition of Mainline at the Colliery, cutting the gap at the top to six points.
Bulawayo Warriors, still a serious threat under coach Roger Ndlovu, stayed fourth after a 1-1 draw with Victoria Falls Herentals.
