DOLOLO the awards!
The trio of Jah Prayzah, ExQ and Ammara Brown failed to score at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMAs) held in Accra, Ghana last weekend.
For Jah Prayzah it was the fourth time unlucky bid.
“We are glad that we were nominated for the fourth time. This shows that we are doing great and the fact that we had a lot of Zimbabwean artistes being nominated this time shows that our entertainment industry is doing well, winning would have been good but it’s a bonus,” said Jah’s manager Keen Mushapaidze.
ExQ believes it’s not going to be long before he wins.
“It’s not every time that you win. This was one of the times we couldn’t win but we have high hopes that soon we will bring the AFRIMAs home,” said ExQ.
Ammara Brown was nominated in the category of Best Female artiste in Southern Africa for her song Akiliz; however, the award was grabbed by South African songstress Shekhinah.
ExQ and Jah Prayzah were nominated into the Best Male artistes in Southern African; none of them could put a finger on the awards as King of the Youth Nasty C from South Africa stole their shine.
