NO food no sex, is what a Lupane woman would tell her husband for the past three years.
Siphiwe Moyo (30) allegedly gets violent and even avoids her husband Rudolf Ngwenya (43)as sexual advances the minute food runs out at their home.
Ngwenya claimed that he tried solving the matter by involving their church pastor but Moyo just couldnat budge.
Seeing that the matter would never end, Ngwenya approached the Lupane civil court for assistance.
a?When she started denying me sex I thought it would be a short-lived thing but to my shock it continued. During the night she would retire to bed with her clothes on. When I ask for sex she would say she is not in the mood andA then accuse me of not fending for the family and being lazy. She said I was failing to be a father figure,a? Ngwenya told magistrate Ndumo Masuku.
In response, Moyo said her husband was good for nothing.
a?This man is lazy, he wants me to work for him. I have been going out of my way to work in the fields to get money to buy maize meal while he spends time at the shops drinking beer. He is so lazy to the extent that he doesnat want to work for his family. We are so poor,a? she said.
Masuku ordered the pair to go for counselling at Mthonjeni Centre and come back on 24 July.
