NO glove, no love!
Thata��s the thumb rule for Esnath Kanyama (37) from Bulawayoa��s Cowdray Park, married to Ezra Siwawa (42) who infected her with a sexually transmitted disease in February last year.
Since then, she has been refusing unprotected sex with the father of her two children because he had proven to be unfaithful.
Her fears were also confirmed when she went through his phone and found love messages from another woman, Rachel Mpofu, a family friend.
Since what has turned out to be a sex embargo, Siwawa has become violent, forcing his wife to seek a protection order.
a�?When I was browsing through his WhatsApp messages I came across a love message proving they (Siwawa and Mpofu) are in love. After that I confronted him. From time to time he would hit me with an electrical cord accusing me of being a prostitute,a�? said Kanyama.
She added that she valued her life and wouldna��t want to die through reckless behaviour.
a�?He is a womaniser, as such I asked that we should use protection because I fear for my life but he refused. After that, I decided to deny him sex,a�? she said.
Siwawa wouldna��t take the allegations lying down.
a�?She usually sneaks out of our house at around 8pm to enjoy with her boyfriends. I have asked her aunt to talk to her but it seems she has failed to correct her wayward behaviour,a�?said Siwawa.
The magistrate, Tinashe Tashaya, ordered Siwawa not to verbally and physically abuse his wife. He ordered them to go for counselling and come back on 9 February.
