No goals for Khama at Club WC

KHAMA Billiat’s Mamelodi Sundowns finished their maiden FIFA Club World Cup without a win after the African champions were hammered 4-1 by Asian Champions League winners Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors yesterday morning.Percy Tau scored for Mamelodi Sundowns in the 4-1 drubbing, a result that followed a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Kashima Antlers in the South African team’s opening match.

The 26-year-old Billiat returns from the prestigious tournament without a goal after failing to find the back of the net in Sundowns’ two games at FIFA Club World Cup.

The 4-1 loss means Mamelodi Sundowns will finish the tournament on sixth place.

Warriors star, Billiat, had hoped to use the FIFA Club World Cup to showcase his talent to international scouts but the two defeats might have a negative impact on the Zimbabwean’s profile. — Sportszone
