No joy for hubby-killer

Court Reporter
A 23-YEAR-OLD Chitungwiza woman who fatally stabbed her husband following a heated argument over infidelity, appeared in court yesterday charged with murder. Florence Shariwa of 15634 Unit P allegedly killed her husband Darlington Fereti on Thursday last week.  She accused her husband of having an affair with another woman and demanded an explanation. Prosecutor Ms Pauline Chamunorwa alleges that Fereti locked the door and began assaulting Shariwa.

It is alleged Shariwa picked a kitchen knife and stabbed Fereti on the chest, killing him on the spot. Shariwa then disappeared from the scene and was arrested the following day.
She appeared before Chitungwiza resident magistrate Donald Ndirowei and was remanded in custody to October 24.

Mr Ndirowei advised Shariwa to seek bail at the High Court.
Ms Pauline Chamunorwa appeared for the State.
