No missing children at Harare show

“We did not receive any reports of children who went missing during the show and we still urge parents to con­tinue looking after these children even at home,” Chief Insp Sabau said.
He said there were no serious crim­inal cases at the show which was peaceful. Police were heavily deployed at the show to ensure that law and order was maintained.
Lesotho Prime Minister Mr Thomas Thabane officially opened the show on Friday.
Police had a 24-hour police post at the Exhibition Park where members of the public could make reports.
The awareness campaigns came after Given Flint Matapure (3) went missing at the Exhibition Park in August last year during the Harare Agricultural Show.
The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society this year introduced closed circuit tel­evision cameras for maximum secu­rity at the show.
