‘No sex’ policy drags for seven years

LORD, I can’t take it no more!
Mandlenkosi Ncube is a man without joy. Despite being married to Nomakhosi Ncube for seven years there has not been sex in  their marriage, at least with him involved.

The couple from Bulawayo’s Nketa 9 got married in 1987 and all was well until Nomakhosi closed the tap in 2011.

This week Mandlenkosi approached the courts seeking a protection order because he has not only been denied sex but allegedly gets beaten up by his wife.

“She has a tendency of beating me up and harassing me. We live in the same house but she left our bedroom in 2011.

We have never had sex since then. It has been seven years now. She puts up in a spare bedroom,” he said.

Mandlenkosi has no idea where things went wrong.

“I don’t know what drove her to behave in such a manner. I thought everything was okay between us. It hurts to stay with your wife in the same house while she sleeps in another room,” he added.

He believes that his wife has a sex life somewhere else.

“I suspect she is having an affair with another man because a police officer by the surname Busira is fond of sending her love messages,” he added.

She denied beating him up but confirmed the “no sex” policy.

‘‘Our marriage is going through a rough patch. We haven’t had sex for several years. I am not an abusive woman. I have not beaten anyone in my life,’’ she said.
