No stopping Jah Prayzah

dramatically, and his name is being pitted against Zimbabwe’s best musicians to date.
Apart from arming himself with a good discography that is enjoying rave reviews in both the electronic and print media, Mukudzei Mukombe aka Jah Prayzah is ably complemented by a group of youthful but experienced musicians, who go for hours on end performing.
Backed by the Third Generation Band, his moves are fast-paced, well-choreographed to match the rhythm of his music, creating a revelling atmosphere among his fans, no matter how gloomy things may be.

Heart-throbbing songs

It was the same ambience that he created on Saturday night, when rocked the small open air joint in Chitungwiza with pulsating, heart-throbbing songs, to ward off the chill among revellers.

The crowd literally danced the night away, despite the chilly weather in which temperature continued to drop as the early hours of Sunday morning beckoned.
Despite the dropping temperatures, the morale remained high, as the crowd responded well to the young crooners’ selection of high-octane and danceable songs.

“Tsviriyo”

With such a happy crowd that was willing to sing along to some of his famous hits such as “Tsamba”, “Ngoda”, “Sorry Mama”, “Rufaro” and “Machembere” which he had to belt twice due to public demand, it was clear that the young crooner seems to be getting better with each performance.

When he played the song, “Tsviriyo”, the crowd momentarily forgot about their woes and got on the dance floor to display some fancy footwork’s, while imitating the “Army Band” drills.
“Tsviriyo” is essentially a happy-go-lucky type of song in which Jah Prayzah urges fans to look at music as a unifying rather than divisive force.

In other words, fans should be free to enjoy any musician of their choice, be it Tuku, Alick Macheso, Suluman Chimbetu, Tongai Moyo, Kapfupi or Pastor Charamba.
“Hatidi hondo (No fighting, please”).

He upped the tempo when he played the song “Ngwarira Kuparira”, to a rapturous response from the crowd that was now dancing in groups, probably to keep the cold at bay.
