their own band Extra Kwazvose.
It was an emotional moment for Sulu and Slomo when the two came face to face before a sizeable crowd to sing “Happy Farewell Slomo”. Sulu wished Slomo the best before bursting into a farewell song.
“Happy Farewell Slomo, Happy Farewell Slomo, Happy Farewell Slomo. I want to thank you Slomo for the time we worked together and you should know it was a privilege to work with you. I want to wish you well kumasango kwauri kuenda,” said Sulu.
Slomo opted to remain quiet though he could not contain his emotions as his eyes became watery with tears. Fans were also touched with the gesture as one of the fans only identified as Samaz cried on stage.
“We showed the world that there are no hard feelings between me and Sulu. I have nothing against Sulu and there is no bad blood between us.
That is why he decided to let me keep the Mercedes-Benz he bought me on my debut appearance in the dendera camp,” said Slomo.
Sulu’s publicist Joe “Local” Nyamungoma said Sulu showed maturity in handling the “Franco” mater and he proved he is now a grown up musician.
“Sulu recently celebrated his 31st birthday, and issues like this test one’s maturity. As Dendera Kings we managed our affairs proffessionaly, the whole band wishes Slomo best in his life and newly found avenue,” said Nyamungoma.
Allan Chimbetu is still with the band despite the rumor that has been doing the rounds last week that he could find the exit door to rejoin his son Douglas.
It remains to be seen how long will he stay with Sulu since he had staged some solo shows last week.
Meanwhile, Etra Kwazvose has no leader, but Slomo who is leaving Sulu is expected to do the vocals while Kasamba is going to do the chanting on their debut album set to be released before July 5.
