PRIMARY and Secondary Education Minister, Evelyn Ndlovu, said her Ministry does not allow school authorities to send children home for failing to pay school fees.

She said the Government remains committed to funding the education sector and providing the right to education as enshrined in the Constitution.

“I want to offer gratitude to the Government for providing support to orphans and the vulnerable through the BEAM programme.

“The Ministry is working to ensure procurement of teaching and learning material, although some players have chipped in to support this initiative. We are finalising the process to make sure that many students in satellite and rural schools benefit from payment of school fees,” Minister Ndlovu said.

She said a learned nation contributes to the development of its country.

“We also expect parents to pay levies to support in the running of schools,” she said.
