THE Institute of Corporate Directors Zimbabwe (ICDZ) has partnered with Zimpapers, through its flagship, The Herald, to honour businessmen who have exhibited outstanding qualities in leadership, advancement of sound economic practices and adherence to the highest ethical standards.
Titled “2022 Distinguished Gentlemen”, the awards seek to honour businessmen who have excelled.
Other private media organisations are also part of the programme.
In a statement, the ICDZ said they seek to “recognise insightful leaders who are of keen penetration and discernment.”
“This is in view of the challenging and volatile environment that the Zimbabwean industry is currently facing.
“These distinguished gentlemen are leaders who seized and pursued commercial opportunities that have made their organisations realise sustainable growth,” said the ICDZ.
Nominees will be drawn from large and listed companies, small and medium enterprises, public enterprises as well as non-governmental organisations.
The nominees must show organisational excellence and demonstrate outstanding contributions to the economy and be above 40 years old.
There is also a category for special recognition of leadership that reflects the practical, useful, entrepreneurship, humanitarian and philanthropic spirit.
The “2022 Distinguished Gentlemen” winners are also expected to possess over 20 years of relevant business experience and must be of Zimbabwean origin.
