Norton Town Council Town Secretary Mr Kizito Muhomba says monitoring and evaluation workshops are critical in improving the local authority’s performance and service delivery.

Presenting his report during the 309th Ordinary Council meeting held last week, Mr Muhomba said he was optimistic that the council would record improved performance and evaluation scores following the implementation of key recommendations.

“The workshop chairperson assisted us with the monitoring and evaluation workshop held in July to improve quite well in our performance,” he said.

“When we went for performance and evaluation this time, I think our scores were much better than what we scored previously.

“Those kind of workshops, I think are important and we should have them as and when they are required.”
