THE country’s upcoming bodybuilders will flex their muscles on Saturday at the 2026 edition of the Mr Novice Zimbabwe Championship.

The beginner-level contest will be held at the Zimbabwe College of Music.

More than 40 gym clubs from across all provinces are set to participate.

Several categories are lined up, including Senior Men Bodybuilding Open, Junior Men Bodybuilding (up to 21 years), and Men’s Fitness Open.

Athletes will also compete in Men’s Physique Open, Women’s Bikini Open, Women’s Wellness Open, Wheelchair Men Bodybuilding, and Classic Physique Open.

Rashone Lylla Khan, the reigning Miss Novice Ladies champion, is eager to defend her title.

“I have, for a long time, been perfecting my body, and I am now ready to show off what I have been working so hard for,” she said.

Khan is a serial winner who took gold in the 2025 Harare Classic Fitness & Bodybuilding Women’s Bikini category.

She followed that win with another gold at the Zim Nationals before finishing second at the Alex Classic.
