SONGBIRD Novuyo Seagirl, Qeqe, Mawiza and Mzistozz Mfanafuthi have been unveiled as some of the acts who are billed to perform at the Filabusi Music Festival taking place tomorrow.

The festival which is in its second edition will also feature performances from Fish F Ndaramu, Byrce DJ Klasiq, Jaycee, DJ Anora Keys, DJ Thamar, Brintz, Majoer Prodi, Chuck The Lunatik, DJ 8Pro, Uchathoe, Warhol Bobolex, Ronald Stone and Black Ops.

The event will be held at Marvel Joint, a spot run by Zanu-PF Insiza North 2023 parliamentary candidate Farai Taruvinga.

The event’s founder, Ralph Sibanda said preparations for the event are at an advanced stage.

He said the festival is being held to promote talent from Bulawayo and its surrounding areas.

“Basically, the event was inspired by the need to export Bulawayo arts to neighbouring towns while also providing entertainment to people in Filabusi. We introduced the festival last year in April and we went on to do two more shows there in August and November,” said Sibanda.

He said the lineup was carefully crafted after he attended various shows in Bulawayo and headhunted the artistes. – @mthabisi_mthire
