carries songs that are rocking the airwaves and have become the anthems for his avid fans.
His bangers; “Ndinonyara” and “Whatsapp ” are enjoying rave airplay on Power FM and the new radio stations — Star FM and ZiFM, showing how much talent he possesses.
In an interview Nox said; “My latest album, ‘Ice and Roses’, is by far the most successful album. Not because it had the best songs, but for some reason, that’s when people started to really appreciate me.”
Being one of the most celebrated urban grooves artistes, Nox has proved to be cut above the rest considering the success of his music career and his development as an artiste.
His latest offering has without any doubt highlighted his maturity and this has been proven by the success of his tours of the United Kingdom and recently Australia.
In Australia, Nox had a three-day tour where he performed three shows in Melbourne, Brisbane — Gold Coast and Perth.
“Australia was amazing. I had three shows in three days, in three different cities. All shows were packed, with the Melbourne show being sold out,” Nox said from his Midrand base,in South Africa.
Nox also said that he is set to release his next album in summer next year. The album is called “8th Wonder”.
Urban grooves music has at some point in its development been dubbed a bubblegum genre by music critics and has been taken as music without a message and future but Nox believes it is the only music with a future in the country and beyond.
He, however, urged fellow urban groovers that they should not be big-headed just because they have a song or two playing on radio.
“Music is a journey, it’s business, it’s a way of life and you need to be patient, humble and always know that with God, anything is possible.” he said.
Zimbabwean artistes have been lagging behind in the production of videos, which is affecting their recognition around the globe. On this issue Nox noted that;
“Urban groovers need to invest in videos now, we have done all we can in terms of audio quality, but for us to move further, we need to invest in high quality video
production so we can match countries like Nigeria, South Africa and Mozambique, and it’s very possible given the amount of talent we possess.”
